curly started it
lennie got beat up then george told lennie to hit him back and then lennie caught curlys hand and like broke it
they were fighing becuase curly tought lennie was laughing at him and makin fun of him
my reaction was i was suprised lennie didnt hit him w/o george tellin him to
i think that lennis won because he go curly on the ground then curly just sat there.

Lennie was smileing at some good memories of the soon to be farm and Curley thought that Lennie was mocking him so he threw a punch.I think that Curley deserved it. LEnnie deffintally won he shook up Curley runied his ego a little.

Curley was apologizing to Slim and Lennie was smiling about the idea of the house and Curley thought that he was smiling that he had to apologize to Slim. I wasn’t surprised that Curley picked a fight with Lennie because he likes to pick fights with bigger guys. Lennie got beat up pretty bad but he broke Curley’s hand so I’d say Lennie won.

Curley was looking for his wife and when he came into the bunkhouse all the men were having a heated discussion and Candy made comment about wearing the glove with vaseline in it and Lennie laughed. Curley got all up in Lennie’s face and thay stated to fight. George told Lennie to blast Curley and he did so breaking nearly all the bones in Curley’s hand. I am pretty sure that Curley won. It scared me. kidding! I amglad that slim was nice about it.

Lennie was caught up on the idea of having his own ranch and was smiling, and Curley was in the middle of reprimanding him about it and got upset. They weren’t really fighting because Lennie didn’t know what to say. My reaction was that I really wanted Lennie to pound Curley, or someone else to stick up for him. I think that Lennie won the fight because even though he was bleeding, he broke Curley’s hand and he made Curley afraid of him. I agree with ‘doplato’ that the fight shook up Curley’s ego.
Comment by kligsfosho April 18, 2007 @ 7:56 pmAfter Slim and Curley came into the room after their argument in the barn, Curley was angry and was already trying to pick a fight. When Curley saw Lennie gazing off with a smile on his face he got mad and punched Lennie in the face. After Lennie started bleeding pretty bad and wasnt defending himself, George started yelling at Lennie to fight back. Once Lennie decided to fight back he grabbed Curleys wrist and wouldn’t let go. By the time he finally did let go Curley’s hand had a bunch of broken bones in it. Carlson and Slim packed Curley up in the wagon and went to get him help but Slim warned Curley not to tell his father. Slim was sticking up for Lennie and George. A of the guys in the room know now that Curley has been defeated.

Curley kept punching Lennie and Lennie looked over at George for support and George told Lennie to fight back. So then Lennie squeezed Curley’s hand and pretty much broke it so Lennie won the fight.

They weren’t fighting over anything Curley just wanted to fight Lennie because he was big.
Curley looking for Candy and thinking that she was with Slim, and Lennie laughing at something from before led up to this.
My reaction was that I was glad that Lennie faught back because I dont think that he should get taken advantage of like that.
Lennie won.
The fight was Curly’s fualt. Lennie did what George told him and didn’t fight back until George sadi to hit him back. The fight happened because Curly said something to im and Lennie talked back.

This happend to be right after George, Lennie, and Candy were talking about buying a farm and Lennie was smiling. Curley thought Lennie was laughing at him and started to punch him and Lennie caught one of his punches and started to crush his hand. I was shocked that Curley went after a person who is mentally ill. I believe Lennie won the fight because he made Curley go to the doctor.
Comment by emearhart April 19, 2007 @ 11:12 amCurley started the fight. Lennie wanted his own farm, and Curley argued with him about it. He punched lennie and ended up hurting his hand. They agreed not to tell anyone about it. I couldn’t believe Curley was fighting with someone who is mentally ill.

They were fighting because Curley came into the bunk house mad because he couldn’t find his wife and Lennie was smiling because he was thinking about the farm that George and him were going to get. Curley was already mad because he thought that Slim and his wife were together. I thought that what Curley fighting George about was uncalled for. Lennie won the fight because he broke all the bones in Curley’s hand.

Curly thought he was laughing at him because everyone was makeing fun of him but Lennie was smiling over the rabbits. I think Curly had no reason to do this he was just looking for a way to make himself look tough. Lennie won the fight by crusing Curly’s hand.

Even if Lennie was laughing at him he shouldnt have started to fight him because i wouldnt start with a guy whos got a couple feet on me no matter how strong i think i am. He shouldve just calmed down and talked to him

Curley came into the barn house and Lennie, George and Candy were just talking about the land and house they were going to buy and when Curley entered Lennie still had a smile on his face from the conversation and Curley thought that Lennie was laughing at him and stared a fight.
Well Curley was fighting with Lennie because he thought that Lennie was laughing at him.
While Lennie was kinda getting beat up by Curley George kept telling Lennie to fight back so Lennie listened to George’s command but when Lennie grabbed Curley’s hand he crushed it on accident.

I think that Lennie won the fight because he broke Curley’s hand and i think Curley just sat on the floor stunned that someone beat him in a fight.

But the reason Lennie was all giggly, was because he was thinking about the rabbits. Curley was fighting with Lennie because he thought he was laughing at him.

During the fight Lennie broke all the bones in Curley’s hand. The reason they were fighting is that Curley thought Lennie was laughing at him & Lennie only fought back because George told him to. The events it led up to was Curley getting all the bones in his one hand borken. My reaction to it was shocked that Lennie was that strong, i mean i knew he was stong but not that strong. Lennie won the fight because Curely had to go to the hospital becsue Lennie broke his hand.

George told Lennie to hit him back so Lennie breaks his hand.
they were fighting because curley is a jerk and thought that Lennie was making fun of him by laughing.
I was very suprised that George let Lennie hit him after telling Lennie not to do a bad thing. I was kind of confused.
I think Lennie kicked butt because he broke curleys hand and he was on the ground practically crying.
