What do you think? Is it a good representation of what we’ve read? Did the director pick the right actors for the movie? Is the setting appropriate? What would you have done differently had you been a part of the cinematic team?

I thought that the characters were realy good. I liked George alot. I thought that Slim would be younger though. Curley’s wife was also a little different than I expected. CAndy and his dog 🙂
That dog was reallllly mauled. Poor thing! I liked the setting I think that it was potraited very well. I do not think i would have done much different.

I think that the characters were perfect for the part. I think that it’s an excellent representation of what we’ve read. The setting was just as I had pictured it. I thought that Lennie would be bigger than he was.

I think that the director picked the right characters for the part because in the book lennie is described as what he is in the movie. George is just like George in the book because hes orders Lennie around and he feels bad for him.

The characters are perfect for the part. Lennie really looks like he is slow and I can easily recognize the other characters. Sometimes the story gets a little different from the book like the Eragon movie but it is an alright movie.

I think that the characters and setting have been great so far in the movie but some of the movie is different from what happened in the book.

The movie is a little differnt than the book, and i pictured George differently, but the actor does a good job of playing the part.

I think that Lennie should have been portrayed as maybe a little bigger and muscular. The setting of the movie didnt resemble at all from what i thought about in the book.

I think that the movie is a very good representation of the book, unlike other movies that are based on books. I think that the actors that were chosen were very appropriate too. The setting is very appropriate because it’s just as it was described in the book.

I think the movie does the job almost perfectly, the actors are great for their parts the only thing is its hard to understand the movie if you haven’t read the book

I think the movie version wase excellent. I think the characters were very similar to what was described in the book. The only thing that was different from the book was they went on a bus in the beginning of the book, not a train. I also think George’s and Lennie’s friedship in movie is not as strong as described in the book.

i think this movie really portrays the book quite well and i think the actors are perfect like luteinent dan is perfet for george

gdpeter – What was different from how you pictured things?

cghirohito – Great point. We knew what was going on because Steinbeck provided us with more details in his writing. If you think back to our time talking about him in class, you’ll remember that he pays attention to detail!

I think the characters were great for the movie, except for Lennie. I thought that they would cast a bigger guy for Lennie because of how in the book the author describes how big and strong he is. The setting is quite appropriate, because they show the scenery as old and hot, which is what California is like.

I think the characters were perfect to play thoose parts. But I also agree with the person above me about casting a much larger guy to play Lennie, because they say how strong he is. The setting is very appropriate, especially relating to the times after the Great Depression.

i might not know what the movie was all about if i didn’t read the book, but the charaters where perfect ! Lennie, George, Carlson, Curley, Culey’s Wife, Crooks. The only thing was i thought Candy was just the cutest little old man !!

Comment by rachypachy

i thinkthat the movie was perfect but i wouldof picked a different curly.

Comment by ms07

The movie is different then the book. Curleys wife was in the movie a lot and as we saw there were scenes in the movie that there werent in the book where she comes in. I pictured George to be much different. But i liked the movie.

i think the directer did good picking the charecters. Lennie and George were good in the movie.

Comment by epszczolkowski

I think that the movie was very similar to the book. I also think that they picked good actors for Lennie and George because they were sweet.
