He would have a ranch of his own. I think he probably doesn’t have a lot of confidence in him self. I wonder if he feels like he cant do things because of Lennie. Lennie is a handful and George has to constantly watch him. Lennie reminds me a little boy. BUt i think that George is a real softy inside. Not amny people would give up a whole lot of money and time to take care of someone who is not even your own family member.

George says that he would live in a house and eat his own crops that he grew. This reveals that he doesn’t like what he is doing now, being a migrant worker.

He would be living by himself, raising his own crops, not working on random farms. This shows that he likes to work by himself

cghirohito – “This shows that he likes to work by himself.” – Why do you think he lets Lennie tag along then?

George said that if he was smart he would of had his own farm. This shows me that George doesn’t try to follow his dreams and has no confidence in himself.

George said that if he were really smart he would be eating his own crop, not just working for it. This shows that George isn’t too proud of his life right now, he’s working so hard for so little, the smart people do little work and get so much.

george said if he were really smart he would have a farm. I dont think he has much confidence in himself because if he really wanted it he would be fighting for it. This reveals that if he tried hard enough he can get what he wants. I think he is more focused on Lennie then this farm.

If George we’re smart, he said he would be eating his own crops, not earning them. He would have a ranch of his own and be working by himself. But he needs to take care of Lennie for Lennie’s aunt Clara.
