What does Slim say to Curley after the fight is over? What does this tell us about his relationship with George and Lennie?

Of Mice and Men 
Slim tells Curley that he can not tell his father about how he huet his hand and that they won’t tell either. This tells us that George wants Lennie to learn how to stick up for himself but he also cares for him and wants to help him.
